Trace Link Recovery using Static Program Analysis

Abstract

Modern software system are heterogeneous in terms of languages and technologies used for programming and inter process communication, which is a challenge for program comprehension. Support of traceability can provide help to overcome this challenge by bringing out related components of a software system. This thesis outlines an approach for recovering traceability among source code artifacts by utilizing static program analysis. For this, an exemplary system for recovering trace links with the semantics of linguistic architectures is developed and evaluated with a mini case-study.
