Mission

We are concerned with software languages, i.e., programming languages, specification languages, modeling languages, domain-specific languages, and APIs. We are interested in the various technical spaces of software engineering that involve software languages: grammarware, XMLware, objectware, modelware and others. We are working on the comprehensive life cycle of software languages. This includes design, specification, implementation, testing, evolution. We are also interested in the empirical aspects of software languages. In this context, we are specializing on specific technical problems such as API migration, O/R mapping, advanced modularization, and software re- and reverse engineering.
